International Affairs Division dispatches students for intensive interpreter volunteer training, preparing for ASEAN Para Games THAILAND 2025
06 Apr 2026

Staff from the International Affairs Division (IAD) accompanied 86 student volunteers, serving as interpreters and liaisons, to attend the 13th ASEAN Para Games THAILAND 2025 Volunteer and Liaison Training. The session took place from January 6–7, 2026, at the Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand (under Royal Patronage) Auditorium, located within the 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima.

The training aimed to prepare volunteers by clarifying their roles, responsibilities, and operational standards. Organizers provided essential guidance on professional conduct and demonstrated how to properly assist people with disabilities, such as guiding the visually impaired and safely operating wheelchairs. Additionally, the Sports Association of Thailand provided fundamental knowledge on various sports categories to enhance the volunteers' understanding and ensure efficiency during the actual competition.

The International Affairs Division was tasked by the University to coordinate and recruit student volunteers to serve as interpreters and liaisons for this major event. The students will be stationed across seven sports categories: Athletics, Boccia, Chess, CP Football (7-a-side), Sitting Volleyball, Table Tennis, and Wheelchair Tennis. Their duties will run from January 17–27, 2026. This initiative highlights the university's role in supporting international sporting events while providing students with invaluable experiential learning and opportunities for public service.
